The Great Ghost Rescue

BOOK REVIEW

REVIEWED BY SOPHIE THOMPSON

The main characters are Humphrey the horrible, the Hag, Gliding Kilt and Rick. Rick is the hero of the story- he is brave and courageous. Humphrey is a failure because he is not a scary ghost. He is a peachy pinky colour. The hag gives off a revolting smell while the gliding kilt has a sword through his chest.

A family of ghosts live in a castle in the north of England called Craggyford Castle. Then suddenly, the hag started getting a headache and the gliding kilt got a massive cut, so they had to move…

I liked this book because shows a lot of courage and respect when Humphrey travels a long way to get help when he and other ghosts are dying.

This book made me think that if ghosts where real then they would be funny and cheeky not ghoulish and spooky.

I would recommend this book to children under 11 because it is not babyish and seems realistic.
